Lake Chiemsee/Inzell, Bavaria
Our camp is open to students from all over the world with a high percentage of German speaking teenagers learning English at camp. Our international students have a choice between learning German or attending English classes for both beginners and those more advanced in these languages. Languages spoken at the bilingual centre are German and English.
Set in the south of Germany, in Southern Bavaria, Inzell is a small but friendly community with beautiful mountain views suitable for students aged 11 to 17.
The camp is located on the grounds of the Bavarian Sports Association in Inzell and consists of several little cabins that form a camp ‚village‘. Each cabin will be shared with up to 8 to 12 youths. Each cabin holds their own bathroom and a common area. With the mountains on the door step, there is a variety of leisure activities that can be participated in.
ONLY PER PRIOR REQUEST and CONFIRMATION: For those students who wish to learn German during their time at camp, we offer arange of German classes suitable for all levels from complete beginners to advanced students. Our classes are aimed at being a modern activity based learning experience whilst combining fundamentals such as spelling, grammar and vocabulary studies with fun exercises. With a lot of German students coming to camp, there will be plenty of opportunities to practice your German outside the classroom.
Students learning German will receive an EXPFoundation – Travel 2 Grow certificate for their completion of their language course.
For those students who would like to improve their English skills, we offer English classes from Beginner to Advanced level.
At the end of the language course, all participants will receive an individual Performance Report / Personal Language Certificate.
You will live in one of the rustic log houses, which normally accommodate 8 to 12 young people each. Due to the current situation, we will adjust this number in accordance with the legal regulations valid at the time of travel. More than in the past, we might also accommodate participants in small apartments, each with 2 to 6 beds, right next to the log houses. In each of the houses you have your own shower and toilet areas and your own small lounge area. Of course, you are welcome to live in the same house with a friend. This must simply be logged in with our team prior to arrival.
In addition to your English course, an exciting varied sports, leisure and excursion program awaits you at our Lake Chiemsee / Inzell camp! Due to Corona requirements and official requests we might need to adjust or change our program shortly before or while the program is running.

Half-day excursion: Chiemgau Coaster – the summer sledge fun & shopping in Ruhpolding (included your two week package price)
Once a week we take you to Ruhpolding, a traditional Bavarian summer and winter vacation destination.
Chiemgau Coaster: Adventure PUR! Slide down the mountain, fast or slow, alone or with a partner, the choice is yours!
At first you are being pulled up into the forest, around a curve … hold on! Now it’s down the mountain at a breathtaking pace! We combine this experience with a stroll through the town of Ruhpolding, some shopping, a few photos in a traditional Bavarian setting.
Full day excursions: Lake Chiemsee guided canoe tour or raft building. We also have stand-up paddles available and enjoy some beach and swimming time.
Adventure PUR – let’s go! The bus takes you from the camp to Lake Chiemsee! After a safety briefing you are off onto the water! We will also spend time swimming because Lake Chiemsee even has beaches!
Half-day excursion: Soccerpark Inzell – Soccer Golf (included in our two week package price) or Chiemgau Coaster in Ruhpolding.
Soccer golf is a – in Germany still quite young, up-and-coming – trend sport that combines the two sports of football and golf. The aim is to play a soccer ball with as few attempts as possible to shoot through various obstacles and slopes down to a hole in the ground. By no means just for footballers!
Additional excursion: Salt Mine / Berchtesgaden (extra costs)
Let’s go „down“! For all campers, the opportunity to visit an active, working salt mine in Berchtesgaden. (Additional costs € 49) including supervised bus transfer, approx. 90 minutes drive and guided tour through the mine, packed lunch.
